New Year in Arkhyz: dinner, banquet and where to stay

On 31 December, Istorii Vkusa restaurant in Romantik is holding a New Year banquet: it starts at 22:00, with the programme from around 22:30. Entry is by advance booking only, including for those not staying at the hotel. December bookings open on 1 November, with 100% prepayment. Rooms are in the same building, Hotel Imperial: a minimum stay of 3 nights applies from 29 December to 10 January, and breakfast is included in every rate.

Istorii Vkusa is a Caucasian restaurant in Hotel Imperial at Gornaya St. 55. It opens on 1 December 2026, so this New Year will be its first. The hall seats 50 guests, the terrace 24.

Here is how the evening of 31 December works:

You book a whole table for one price: food, drinks and champagne will already be on the table, and you can order extra from the menu. There is no minimum number of guests. The hotel plans to have the menu with prices ready by 1 November; until then, prices are not published.

There will be no separate children’s format at the New Year banquet.

On 1 January the restaurant works as usual. The hotel will let guests know about opening hours on the following holidays separately.

• Book in advance. You cannot attend the banquet without an advance booking. December bookings open on 1 November.
• Open to those not staying at the hotel. The banquet is for everyone: Hotel Imperial guests and those staying elsewhere. The restaurant has a separate street entrance and parking.
• 100% prepayment. The full amount is paid in advance.
• Deadline: 31 December, 17:00. Bookings are not accepted after that.

If you cancel your booking, the prepayment is refunded. The hotel will announce refund timelines closer to mid-November.

On other evenings of the holidays, the restaurant hosts private events with a banquet menu and service, if you are coming as a group of friends or colleagues. Requests are made on the website:

1. Open the “Book a banquet” form; it opens right on top of the restaurant page.
2. Enter the date of the celebration.
3. Enter the number of guests.
4. In the “Occasion” field, choose “Corporate event” or “Other” and add “New Year”.
5. Leave your name, phone and email. A manager will call back within an hour.

On 31 December the restaurant hosts only the shared New Year banquet; there is no separate hall. But a group can book out all the tables. There is no minimum number of guests for a banquet.

If your banquet guests are staying at the hotel, everything happens in one building and there is nowhere to travel after the party.

Hotel Imperial is a 7-minute walk from the Milky Way cable car, 10 minutes from the slopes and 8 minutes from the resort’s main square. The hotel has 12 room categories, from doubles to family rooms for 6 guests, some with a balcony.

What to know about the New Year dates:

• Minimum stay. From 29 December to 10 January the minimum stay is 3 nights; shorter stays are not sold online. The system shows only the options you can book for your dates.
• The price is for the whole stay. On the room page, once you choose your dates, you see the total for the stay, not per night: rates differ by day.
• Breakfast is included in every rate. Dinner, including New Year’s Eve dinner, is paid separately.
• Bookings are refundable. You can cancel free of charge until the end of the day before arrival; if you cancel on the day of arrival or do not show up, the hotel keeps the cost of the first night. Exact terms are shown with each rate when you book.
• Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 12:00. Early check-in and late check-out are available for a fee, subject to availability.
• We do not accommodate guests with pets.

On 1 January, after the party, you can head to the SPA: an indoor heated pool at 28–30 °C, a hammam and a Finnish sauna. The SPA is open daily from 9:00 to 17:00, holidays included, and is included in the room rate. Book through reception or by phone.

Rooms for 31 December – 3 January: choose the number of guests and the system will show the price for the whole stay.

The nearest major airport is Mineralnye Vody, 3 h 30 min – 4 h from Romantik by car. The drive takes 2 h 10 min from Cherkessk, 3 h 30 min from Stavropol and 2 h 50 min from Nevinnomyssk railway station. If you would rather not drive over the holidays, book a paid transfer from Mineralnye Vody or Cherkessk airport or from the railway station: for example, a Mercedes Vito minivan for a family or group. On regular dates, a transfer from Mineralnye Vody airport to the hotel costs 6,500–9,000 ₽, and a car is found within 15–30 minutes; pick-up is possible from any city, in any car class. The hotel will quote prices for the New Year dates later, on request. It is best to book a transfer 10–15 days before arrival.
